Went into massive rage today. I thought, instead of just getting mad, why not get even? As if I’m going to sit back and let people continue to treat myself and other very talented individuals like second class citizens. I am going to write to different publications around the world everyday until someone says something. Don’t fuck with an ex-journalist.
On a lighter note, caught Watchmen today. Funny how my friends were commenting that I look like Laurie/Silk Spectre. Think it’s the hair. Cos I sure ain’t caucasian. Enjoyed the movie, want to watch it again because there was so much to take in. However, I read the graphic novel (which I happen to love) and find a difference in storyline. In the movie, it was about humans trying to be superheroes. In the book, it’s about superheroes trying to be human. So if I have to choose, the book still trumps although it is pretty heavy reading material and the narrative can be hard for some to follow. Still, thumbs up to the movie, like the way it was filmed and the development of the story.
So, when is The Preacher ever going to be made? Not that they can ever refer to someone on screen as Arseface. Sean Penn still is my choice for male lead. Had this discussion with my ex before, and I still continue to ponder who will make a good female lead.
And while we’re on the movie topic, I really want to watch Notorious B.I.G. Looks like a potentially shamefully good movie with a soundtrack I’d want to groove to. Nyah nyah.
